Recruitment does not end with an accepted offer. People decide early whether a job is right for them, and a planned first two weeks makes a measurable difference.

Before day one
- Confirm the start date, time, address and who to ask for
- Share what to bring and what to wear
- Prepare uniforms, equipment, accounts and access cards
- Tell the team who is joining and when
The first day
Keep it simple: a welcome, a tour, safety basics, and time with the person they will work alongside. Avoid a full schedule on day one.
The first two weeks
Assign a go-to colleague for questions. Check in briefly at the end of the first week and again at the end of the second. Ask what is going well and what is unclear.
Moving to a new city
If your new hire is relocating, practical information helps them settle: local transit, nearby services and, where you offer it, accommodation details.
